NEW STUDY Mineral Study group
Bob Pedersen and Ed Huskinson have started this group. Gemstoner members and the public invited. NEXT MEETING Aug. 15th at Bob’s.

Previously the group had met after the monthly meeting, but decided to meet at different time/location. - The next time - One time only Calico’s Kingman – with a different time to be set, so as to NOT conflict with the Mineral study group. TUES 6 PM August 15.

Treasurer : Bob Bouley Current bank balance is in good shape and growing. If you have any personally paid club expenses, please submit to the board for approval payment. Its a good idea to get pre-authorization to be sure you will be reimbursed.

John Paster and Lynn Smith are our volunteer administrators, ALL are welcome to post and/or comment.

Lava Tubes Flagstaff area.
IMPORTANT to bring two forms of flashlights, s jacket (32 degrees in “tube/caves”, lunch, lots of water, comfortable shoes. A chair for lunch time. Approx. 2 hour one way drive, two wheel okay. This area reported to be haunted. FREE, parking area MEET AT THE MAVERICK 6:30 LEAVE 7:AM
2. NOTE: The date was changed to AUGUST 25th Friday - Lake Havasu Museum
Meet at Maverick 10 am if you want to caravan. Or meet us there. - the Museum opens at 11 am. Bring a lunch, water and a chair. We will picnic together.

Dino Valley – Topock Mohave Valley area
4 wheel (side-by) needed once we turn off the highway. Call Daina to arrange ride sharing. It will be hot so we are MEETING at the Maverick at 6am and LEAVING at 6:30 am. Bring food, extra water (more than you think you will need) bucket, digging tool, a chair and hat.

NEW REGULAR PROCEDURES FOR FIELD TRIPS:
All trips Meet at the Maverick on Andy Devine Kingman (fuel, snacks, water, bathrooms).
All times listed as Meet Time and Leave Time.
Bring water, a jacket, a chair, a walking stick, and sturdy shoes. Trips will have a Trip Leader you can call for more info. Trip Information will include what we expect for find, two or four wheel needed. Costs which may be involved.
