Desert Bar Sunday November 19 2023
Meet at the Maverick 9 am to caravan. Bring cash (No ATM, no Credit/Debit cards 2-wheel okay, lots of rock digging spots along the way after we turn off Hwy 95 About 2 hr drive, approx. 5 mil south of Havasu before Parker (Cienega Springs Rd - good food BIG portions enough to share $14-$20
STANDARD INSTRUCTIONS for this and all field trips: Bring lots of water, lunch, hat, digging tools, bucket, and hat. All trips Meet at the Maverick on Andy Devine Kingman (fuel, snacks, water, bathrooms). Unless otherwise noted. Its a good idea to contact the Trip Coordinator to be sure nothing has changed (weather, road condition).
All times listed as Meet Time and Leave Time. We leave on time!
Bring water, a jacket, a chair, a walking stick, and sturdy shoes. Trips will have a Trip Leader you can call for more info. Trip Information will include what we expect for find, two or four wheel needed and any cost.

Vendor show invitation letters have been sent and vendors replying. No comments about the $7/ft for table space have been received. More table skirting has been ordered with less expense than last year. Gary Bolles recently attended a County Board of Supervisors meeting and praised the Fairgrounds staff for their handling of our 2023 show. The Supervisors posted this on the radio, and Gary has received comments.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS – There are lapidary equipment for sale, and and a AC/DC cash register available. Contact a Board member for more info. Good prices, these items were donated to the Club.

Ed Huskinson passed around Wooly Mamouth and Mastodon teeth found in the USA from around 6,000 years ago. The group commented on the differences and mentioned most of the information on these fossils comes from the Le Brea tar pits in Los Angles CA.

SHORT BREAK at 7:30 for refreshments, Door Prizes and Silent Auction drawing followed..

NOTE The Silent Auction funds go directly to the Club.
